Trotz family generously donates to Dauphin Hospital Foundation/Health Centre

The Dauphin Hospital Foundation is sincerely grateful to be recognized as a beneficiary from the historic Barry Trotz Stanley Cup Day celebrations, which were held in August. The Foundation is honoured to be included among other dedicated and worthy community organizations that will receive funding support thanks to the success of the event.

Members of the Trotz family presented the Foundation with a cheque for $17,650 at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC) November 16, 2018. The contribution is designated towards the initial phase of the Dauphin Palliative Care Unit Redevelopment Project. This first phase involves upgrading the health centre’s four palliative care rooms, which includes wall/room repairs, purchasing of new furniture and securing new TVs.

Foundation Chairman Doug Deans says Barry, his family and all Committee members have gone above and beyond to plan, host and donate back through the memorable event.
“We are indeed thankful for this generous contribution, which allow us to continue supporting and enhancing programs and services for DRHC patients and clients. We look forward to continued improvements to the Palliative Care Unit and recognize all that have contributed to this very worthy cause,” Deans added.

The Foundation once again congratulates Barry for coaching the Washington Capitals to their 2018 Stanley Cup win and together, with his family, for sharing the excitement with Dauphin and the entire Parkland area. We wish him all the best this season, and beyond, as head coach of the New York Islanders.
