The recently renovated cancer care unit on the main floor of the Dauphin Regional Health Centre received some needed equipment thanks to the Dauphin Hospital Foundation. Two heated Inverness recliner chairs, at a total cost of nearly $16-thousand, were purchased for the Unit. Patients have indicated the chairs are very comfortable and that having a side table on the chair allows them to hold items in place while they receive treatment.

Maternity Unit nurses from Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC) benefitted from a recent ‘Spinning Babies’ workshop that was held in Dauphin on April 16 and 17.

Members of the U18 AAA Parkland Rangers were on hand in three local communities December 14,2023 to present proceeds from their ‘Hockey Fights Cancer Night’, which was held back on October 20 when the team played host to the U18 Brandon Wheat Kings. The annual recognition night raised a total of $4,000 dollars, with a split of $1,338 presented to three Community Cancer Programs within the Prairie Mountain Health region.

Ahead of Remembrance Day, the Dauphin Hospital Foundation recently received a generous donation from the Royal Canadian Legion Dauphin Branch #20 Poppy Fund.  The donation, in the amount of $8,965 will be used to purchase blood pressure monitors for the Dauphin Regional Health Centre’s Palliative Care Unit.

Nearly 50 motorcyclists took part in the 6th Annual Memorial Ride in late August 2023 and through their support, helped contribute towards identified needs at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC). This year, the Memorial Ride, spearheaded by Tony’s Auto Electric and JDS Laundromat in Dauphin, made its way through Parkland-area communities along Highway 5 and Mountain Road and reached its final destination in Erickson. The 300 kilometre return trip raised a total of $2,200 that was donated to the health centre, through the Dauphin Hospital Foundation.

As part of National Nursing week (May 8-14), the RBC Foundation has donated $10,000— through the Dauphin Hospital Foundation— to support retention of and professional development for nurses at Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC).

Operating Room patients at Dauphin Regional Health Centre will benefit from a recent contribution through the Dauphin Hospital Foundation.  The Foundation provided over $59,000 to purchase a specialized operating room table for the surgical suite. The Dauphin Hospital Foundation has kept an eye on its past and is looking ahead to its future as the volunteer group embarks on 35 years of giving back to the community and area through the Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC), Personal Care Home and Community Health Building.

It’s a Christmas time gift that will benefit many thanks to Dauphin resident Jim Mulligan. Mulligan provided a yuletide boost to the Dauphin Hospital Foundation with a very generous donation of $150,000.
